Adventure and documentary storyteller Deleigh Hermes’ work has been published in Yahoo!, National Geographic, Backpacker Magazine, Roads and Kingdoms, and the Wall Street Journal. We built her new website using Photoshelter.
I had the pleasure of working with Audra Melton on her new website, which just launched last week.
Audra is an Atlanta-based storyteller and portrait photographer who often focuses on social issues.
Some of her clients include AARP, Oxfam, The Atlantic, The Coca-Cola Company, The New York Times, UPS, and The Washington Post.
For her website, we used PhotoFolio, and organized her work into a few main theme-based galleries, as well as featuring individual commissioned editorial, corporate, and commercial projects.

This worksheet is to help you reflect on your photography business, including its strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
I use this worksheet with every new photographer I collaborate with as a way of identifying target markets, dream clients, and gaps in the work. This is especially helpful before embarking on a website update, print portfolio, or any marketing efforts.
I find it helpful to update this information on a yearly basis. It's good to reassess things, as well as to have an archive of goals. It's interesting to look back years later and see how your goals have changed.

Photo editing for the Gary Sinise Foundation’s 2019 Snowball Express was an amazing experience. The Foundation brings Gold Star Families to Walt Disney World for a week of uplifting activities. Many thanks to Julia Robinson for bringing me on to the team.
New work for Dell Technologies’ magazine, “Realize”. The theme of the issue was optimism, which is something I need a daily dose of. Sometimes when you look at the headlines and all the terrible things happening around the world, it’s hard to remember that there are really smart, creative people solving big problems.

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Santa Monica-based luxury travel, food, and hospitality photographer Natasha Lee.
Our main goal for her site was to create an overview page that showcased a mix of interiors, details, food, portraits, and destinations. I love how it came out!

Central Texas-based food, hospitality, and lifestyle photographer Eric Pohl and I teamed up to create a new print portfolio. He chose Artifact Uprising’s layflat book for his high-end paper and cover materials. We opted for a mix of multiple images, double page spreads, and single images to showcase his narrative approach to brand and editorial storytelling.
Stefan Wachs is a Santa Fe-based portrait and documentary photographer with a sophisticated and serene approach. We collaborated on his website, creating a completely fresh look with new galleries. See more at https://stefanwachs.com/
Eric Pohl and I teamed up to create new marketing materials to kick off the fall season. He recently created a body of work for Desert Door, America’s only sotol distillery. I loved the work and thought it would make a great promo piece. This tri-fold card showcases a great mix of portraits, documentary images, cocktails, and details.

Recent work for AFAR and United Airlines. After sourcing images for around 100 cities that United flies to, I had a serious case of wanderlust! This was a fun project, combing my love for photography with my almost-equal love for spreadsheets and project management.
I’m so happy to share images from a recent website update I did for @kari_medig. Kari and I have worked together a few times over the years, long enough to have seen many a website trend come and go. I'm so loving how these promos came out for Austin-based photographer Felicia Graham. We created two different tabloid sized newspapers using Newspaper Club. One promo focuses on her music work (love the behind-the-scenes moments!) and the other showcases her documentary and movie stills work.
New work for Dell and their executive journal, Realize. We commissioned Noah Berger to document work being by @draperlab, @chicostate, and @calfire to use satellite imagery and data to help predict wildfire behavior.
We also got to use some of Noah’s excellent work from the #paradisefire. @noah3929 .
I also commissioned Bob O’Connor to photograph Dell Technologies CTO John Roese.
I love the way this portfolio turned out. Chip’s work is a thoughtful mix of environmental portraits, authentic lifestyle, and storytelling.

I recently finished up a portfolio refresh for Nevada-based photographer Michael Okimoto. Michael’s work focuses on adventures in the outdoors, environmental portraits, resort imagery and video.

I recently wrapped up a website edit and new print portfolio for Bay Area-based photographer Peter Adams. Peter’s work focuses on the culture of Silicon Valley, as well as politics and Americana.

I wanted to share a new website portfolio edit I just wrapped up with Matt Rainwaters. This was a really fun project because Matt was looking to weave together bodies of work with different styles and themes. He wanted a free-flowing edit and I think we landed on something pretty beautiful.
It’s a bit stream of consciousness. You get to meander through bodies of work, interspersed with textures and unrelated moments. I’m very happy with it and hope you’ll check it out here.

Firecracker
Firecracker was established in 2011 by Fiona Rogers to promote women working in photography, through a variety of online features, networking opportunities and public events. Now in its 10th year, Firecracker continues to champion the work of female, female identifying and non binary photographers internationally through its online platform, annual grant, social media channels and event program. Rogers was previously Chief Operating Officer of Magnum Photos.

Excellent resource for finding female-identifying and non-binary photographers around the world. Founded by Daniella Zalcman.
African Photojournalism Database
African Photojournalism Database is a directory of emerging and professional African news photographers, photojournalists and documentary photographers reporting on cultural, economic, environmental, political and social issues on the continent, as well as sports, nature, and stories of everyday life. There are over 400 photographers currently listed on the database, including over 180 professional photographers.
GirlGaze

Nappy
“Beautiful photos of Black and Brown people, for free. For commercial and personal use.” Similar model to Unsplash, which I’m not really a fan of because I don’t believe you can make a living off exposure. But if you are using free sources like Unsplash, Nappy fills a void that is needed in the industry.
Gender Spectrum Collection
